Concern For The Souls Of Men

If Jesus is living in your heart there should be a desire in your heart that lost men around you would be saved too. You should have compassion on them and you should do all you can to teach them the Bible. If you have received Jesus but you are not doing all you can to share the gospel with others, you are quenching and grieving the Holy Spirit and you are not all that He wants you to be. You are walking in the flesh.

Luke 19:10: For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Mark 6:34: And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

2 Timothy 2:24-26: And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

2 Timothy 4:2: Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2 Corinthians 5:20: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ*s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

Mark 1:17: And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

Philippians 2:13: For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

You might ask the question: What can I do? You should pray for the lost. You should support financially and in prayer other believers that share the gospel. You should do all you can to prepare yourself to share the gospel. You should ask the Lord to give you a burden for the lost. You should study the Bible. You should find Christians who share the gospel and learn from them. You should find and follow good examples. You must believe that since Jesus* power has worked in you, it can also work through you. These things may not all happen overnight but they should be progressing in you AND in what you do. One of the most wonderful things a Christian can learn is that God can use him. In fact, that is what God has saved you for.

Ephesians 2:10: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

1 Corinthians 3:9: For we are labourers together with God: ye are God*s husbandry, ye are God*s building.

When you work with God there is no limit to what He can do with you. If you just get going with some baby steps, soon you will be taking bigger ones and more of them.

Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
